TTR Invites you to 2018 Regionals
The Texas Triumph Register is proud to host the 2018 VTR South Central Regionals, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the TR250 by the shores of Lake Conroe, north of Houston. Our host hotel, La Torreta Resort and Spa, provides a beautiful venue for our event and offers participants access to their beach, adult and children’s pools, lazy river, tennis courts, golf course, fitness center, restaurant and spa. We’ll travel the backroads of the Lake Conroe area, visit unique sights, display our cars for all to appreciate and enjoy, as well as test our driving skills in our rallies, Funkhana and Autocross. Our three days of fun will conclude with the Awards Banquet overlooking Lake Conroe.

The Triumph TR5 and TR250 was a sports car built by the Triumph Motor Company in Coventry, England, between August 1967 and September 1968.
The Triumph TR250 was built for the North American market. Price pressures and tighter emission regulations resulted in twin Zenith-Stromberg carburettors being fitted instead of the TR5’s Lucas fuel injection system. Otherwise it is nearly identical.
The TR250’s engine delivered 111 bhp (81 kW), 39 bhp less than the TR5; 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) acceleration took 10.6 seconds. The TR250 was also available with the Surrey Top system.
In 1968, the TR250 sold in North America for approximately $3,395, with wire wheels a $118 option, overdrive $175, and air conditioning $395.
A total of 8,484 TR250s were built for the U.S market. Approximately 600 remain worldwide today, and many can now be found outside the United States, primarily in Europe. (Courtesy Wikipedia)

Mark your calendars – and come join us for three days of fun on April 19 – 21, 2018!
The 2018 Regionals will be held at the beautiful La Torretta Resort and Spa, located on the shores of Lake Conroe. Our host hotel and venue is located approximately 1 hour north of Houston, 15 miles east of Interstate 45 off State Highway 105, and is situated between the cities of Conroe and Montgomery.

The block of rooms at the host hotel, La Torretta Lake Resort and Spa, is gone! If you still have not made your hotel reservations as of today, you can call the hotel, informing them that you are with the Triumph Regional Event April 19th-21st, and ask to be placed on their waiting list. Should space open up, you will be given a reservation on a first come, first served basis.
The good news is that we have secured an additional block of ten (10) rooms at the nearby Super 8 Motel in Montgomery, Texas, a short distance from the host hotel. Please mention that you are with the “TEXAS TRIUMPH REGISTER” when you call, to get one of the reserved rooms, at the promised rate. The overflow hotel information is as follows:

If you already have a reservation at La Torretta, and for some reason, you will not be able to attend and are going to cancel your reservation, please e-mail TTR Member Liz Reynolds at lreynolds@emreynolds.net , and let her know you wish to cancel. Provide her with your hotel confirmation number and the name under which the reservation was made. This way, we can let the resort know, and have the reservation go to a Regionals attendee on the waiting list; not released to the general public.
